Veterinary Nurse Clinics

We have a small team of qualified and Registered Veterinary Nurses (RVN’s), with many years’ experience between them.  They have all undertaken the 3-year training course, taken and passed many examinations and practical tests, and are registered with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons.

As such, we are delighted to be able to offer Nurse Clinics to our clients.  Our nurses are able to give you advise on a wide range of preventative health care measures and carry out some minor procedures.

All nurse clinics are by appointment and available Monday-Friday 11am – 4.30pm.  Unfortunately, we are unable to offer appointments with a nurse outside of these times at the moment.

We offer the following free services:

  • Puppy and Kitten clinics

  • Rabbit clinics

  • Senior Pet clinics

  • Post-operative checks

  • Dressing changes and suture removal

  • Dental healthcare advice and oral care

  • Parasite advice

  • Nutritional advice and weight clinics

We are also able to offer these services but there will be a charge for them but no consultation fee:

  • Administration of flea and worm products

  • Nail clipping

  • Microchip implanting

  • Diabetes monitoring

  • Blood pressure monitoring

  • Urine testing

  • Blood tests for routine health checks

  • Anal gland emptying

  • Routine injections, such as allergy vaccines or second vaccinations

Our nurses will be able to discuss your pet’s general health and advise on ways to prevent them becoming unwell.  Please be aware that the nurse CANNOT do the following:

  • Diagnose your pet if they have a medical condition or illness

  • Prescribe your pet medications

  • Administer parasite treatments if we have not seen your pet before or it has been over 12 months since the vet last saw them.

In the event of your pet being unwell, or if you are concerned they may have an underlying condition or illness, please make an appointment to see the vet.

In the event of an emergency all our nurses are trained to be able to administer first aid until the vet is available.
